The province has reached a vaccination milestone in the fight against COVID-19.
Over half of all adults in the province are fully immunized.
Over 16 million shots have been administered since the start of the rollout process, and Ontario is one of the leading jurisdictions in the world for population percentage to have received their first shot.
Over 78 percent of adults 18 and older have their first dose, and more than 51 percent are fully immunized.
To further increase the administering of doses, the province is continuing with mobile clinics and community based pop-ups, as well as dedicated days for youth and people with disabilities.
The province is also targeting areas with a high amount of Delta variant cases by providing additional pop-up teams, vaccination staff and workplace clinics.
