Volunteers will be there for patients, families, every Thursday at Walker Family Cancer Centre
There are now more options in Niagara for anyone undergoing cancer treatment, thanks to a partnership between Niagara Health and Wellspring Niagara.
The Niagara Health-Wellsprinig Niagara Partnership in Cancer Care started yesterday, integrating hospital-based treatment with support services in the community.
Every Thursday, from 9-noon, Wellspring Niagara volunteers will be available in waiting areas of the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
Organizers say patients and their families will benefit from support to reduce isolation and build resilience, and help to ease daily challenges.
