Fifteen local youth are getting a shout out for their efforts to support mental health.
Pathstone's Youth Champions raised $31,000 in the third annual Fill the Pig, Feel Better Campaign.
With one month to hit a $30K goal, the champs knew what their marching orders were and hit social media with their message.
They talked about the importance of good mental health, shared stories of their own struggles and encouraged the Niagara community to support the cause.
Branch leads, at each Meridian Credit Union location across Niagara, worked to support the young volunteers.
The money raised will support Pathstone's Immediate Services Program, which has 8 in-person walk-in clinics , a 24/7 Crisis & Support Line and a video counselling program.
