Niagara Centre MPP Jeff Burch says local business can ramp up production of PCR collection kits if given the go-ahead to test individuals with COVID-19 symptoms.
A local PCR test kit supplier is looking to expand its license to provide tests for individuals with COVID-19 symptoms.
Niagara Centre MPP Jeff Burch has written to Health Minister Christine Elliott about Norgen Biotek, a biotechnology company in Thorold.
The company has a provincial license for asymptomatic COVID-19 testing, and is looking to expand the scope of its license to test individuals with symptoms.
Burch says the business has the capacity to process 10,000 samples a day.
