Police, and the family of a man killed in a hit and run in Niagara Falls, are appealing for public assistance in this case.
It was Sunday, August 10th, last year, when police were called to the Montrose and Greendale Street area, to find a pedestrian had been hit by an SUV.
Police have been looking for a white 4-door Audi SUV, with a large moonroof, that was last seen driving southbound on Montrose, towards Lundy's Lane.
63-year old Suresh Lal later died in hospital.
His family released a statement:
“Suresh is remembered as a partner, a loving grandfather, and a man who found deep joy in life’s simple pleasures. He shared over 20 years with his partner and enjoyed spending time with her and his two grandchildren brought him immense joy and happiness. He also found peace and fulfilment in his garden, finding pride in nurturing life and enjoying the calm it brought him”. They continue, “Although he passed away just shy of his 64th birthday, Suresh lived life on his own terms. He will be deeply missed. We hope someone out there has information to help this investigation and we ask for that information to be brought to the police, to help bring closure for our family.”.
