Police have made an arrest in a months long investigation involving an employee of Niagara on the Lake Hydro.
Officers were called in to investigate last September and determined between March 2019 and July of 2020 a fraud had taken place involving more than $425,000.
Yesterday, police arrested 67 year old Kazi Marouf of Fort Erie and charged him with fraud over $5,000.
Police say Marouf, who was employed as the VP of Operations at the time of the alleged offence, had already returned in excess of $400,000 to Niagara on the Lake Hydro before his arrest.
