Police say driver of this black Mercedes acted aggressively against another car, before truck crash on QEW
An update from provincial police as they sort out what happened during a collision on the QEW near Beamsville around 8 this morning.
They've released a picture of the car they're looking for, which they say fled the scene.
Sergeant Kerry Schmidt says the driver was aggressive, in cutting off a white car. That white car ended up hitting the side of the tanker truck, and they both ended up in the ditch. The tanker truck rolled, spilling a significant amount of fuel into the environment.
The Niagara bound QE was closed, as well as the service road, which is where the truck ended up.
However, police say they'll be closing the entire QEW area again tomorrow morning, from 7 to 10, in order to remove the tanker.
They add the truck driver was taken to hospital and there were no serious injuries.
