The search is on for two men who took off from police in St. Catharines.
Officers tried to stop a rental car for a routine traffic stop on Sunday night.
The car took off and started a police chase.
Officers called it off for public safety concerns.
The vehicle was later found crashed into an elementary school in the area of Niagara and North streets.
Two men were seen running away from the car, and the canine unit was unable to find them.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
