The search continues for a missing Waterloo man in Lake Erie.
Police say the man in his 30s went swimming at Sherkston Beach in Port Colborne with three kids and another man early yesterday afternoon.
They started to struggle with large waves and three people nearby were able to rescue the other man and the kids from the water.
Lifeguards jumped in the water to try to save the Waterloo man but they lost sight of him.
The NRP Marine Unit, the Port Colborne Marine Auxiliary Rescue Unit and the Canadian Coast Guard searched the water until shortly before 5:00 p.m.
They had to call off the search due to stormy weather.
