Over $20,000 worth of goods taken from six homes in Lincoln
Police are trying to identify a suspect wanted in connection to a string of break and enters in Lincoln.
Yesterday, officers were called to six homes in the areas of John Street, Dennis Avenue and Arejay Avenue.
According to police, a man entered the properties through unlocked doors while the owners were asleep inside.
The suspect stole electronics, cash, tools, alcohol, keys, wallets and purses.
The value of the stolen goods is pegged at over $20,000.
In once incident, the homeowner woke up and found the man in her home on John Street.
He ran eastbound towards Bartlett Street.
Despite assistance from the NRPS K-9 unit, the suspect was not found.
He is described as:
- White male
- Skinny to medium build
- Approximately 5’10 - 6’0 tall
The suspect was wearing:
- Black pants
- Bright blue running shoes
- Work/carpenter gloves
- Beige construction hoodie with "DeWalt" in black print across chest (similar to photo)
Police say there was little to no damage to the homes, and the suspect went after residences where the yard gates and exterior doors were unlocked.
The amount of items taken also suggests the suspect had a car nearby to store stolen property.
