NRPS Marine Unit will continue their search for a man who vanished in the Niagara River trying to help woman having trouble in the water.
Police will continue a search this morning for a man who vanished in the Niagara River over the long weekend
EMS responded to a call at the Niagara Glen near Whirlpool Road at around five in the afternoon Sunday following reports of people struggling in the water.
According to police, a man and woman entered the water following a hike of the gorge
The woman experienced some trouble, when the man tried to help he disappeared in the strong currents
The 20 year old woman from Toronto was pulled from the water in critical condition.
She was transported to a local hospital where she later died.
The man, also from Toronto has not been located and remains missing.
The NRPS Marine Unit will continue with a shoreline search throughout the day today.
