In an effort to help local restaurants, The Town of Pelham will supply, deliver and take away picnic tables for pop-up patios at no cost to the business.
The move is being made to help restaurants keep costs down as they recover from the impact of the pandemic.
The Town will also temporarily waive the requirement of up to six parking spaces for restaurants with pop-up patios this year.
The Town anticipates that most pop-up parking lot patios will occur on private property and will be subject to meeting public health and provincial requirements regarding the serving of food and alcohol.
