Money raised will help support local veterans.
The poppy campaign is kicking off today.
Air Cadets will be outside local businesses starting today to sell poppies to help support veterans in Niagara.
Toni Russell, Poppy Campaign Chair for Legion 479 in Niagara Falls, says many local veterans rely heavily on the money that is raised.
"They're all getting older, so they need help with health and special needs," she says.
She also says buying a poppy is one way to help veterans who sacrificed so much for Canada.
"I truly believe we should support them, because without them, we would not have our great country."
The Legion is seeking volunteers are needed to help pick up donation boxes on November 12th.
