The provincial government has approved changes for the fall election
Voters in Port Colborne won't have as many councillors to choose from when they vote in the fall municipal election.
The Ontario government has approved changes to the city's ward boundaries, and reducing the size of council from 8 to 6 councillors, along with the mayor.
The city says under this model, it'll be divided into 3-wards, each represented by two councillors.
Two wards representing the urban neighbourhoods, one ward for the rural area.
The city adds the wards were designed to reflect communities of interest, while balancing population representation.
