Police found over $252,000 in fentanyl in home, also loaded guns
A man and woman from Port Colborne are each facing multiple gun and drug charges after police raided a home yesterday.
Last month they started looking into distribution of fentanyl from a house in the Welland and Louis Street area.
Police say they found:
- 5.048 kilograms of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $252,400
- 13.9 grams of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $1390
- 602 suspected Oxycodone pills with an estimated street value of $1806
- $55,220 in Canadian Currency
- Glock 9 mm handgun with a loaded magazine containing 10 rounds of ammunition
- Glock 40 calibre handgun with a loaded magazine containing 13 rounds of ammunition
They arrested 40-year old Jeffrey Boston and charged him with:
- Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of a Restricted Firearm Knowingly Not a License Holder X 2
- Careless Storage of a Firearm X 2
- Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime
- Possess Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing the Serial Number Has Been Tampered With
- Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Firearm
- Possess Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order X 2
Police also arrested 42-year old Misti Barron:
- Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of a Restricted Firearm Knowingly Not a License Holder X 2
- Careless Storage of a Firearm X 2
- Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime
- Possess Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing the Serial Number Has Been Tampered With
They both remain in custody, waiting for a bail hearing today.
