Westjet began cancelling flights Thursday and some today
As we head into the first holiday long weekend of summer a potential strike at WestJet threatens the travel plans of some Canadians.
WestJet began cancelling flights yesterday and today ahead of a possible walk out by its mechanics union.
WestJet has cancelled about 25 flights so far impacting 3,300 customers.
Union members overwhelmingly voted to reject a tentative deal earlier this month and have opposed WestJet’s request for arbitration.
