Premier Doug Ford to host Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as the province continues to battle health care issues.
Premier Doug Ford says he will host Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Queen's Park today.
The premier has been pushing the federal government for more funds towards Ontario's health care system as the province deals with staffing shortages in hospital emergency rooms.
This comes after the province passed a motion yesterday to fast-track a controversial long-term care bill to a third reading without public hearings.
If passed, it would allow hospital patients awaiting long-term care to be transferred to a home without without their consent.
The third reading is scheduled to take place this afternoon.
