A fundraising campaign is about to get underway, to help save the Central Fire Station in Welland.
The Central Station Education Initiative will be hosting its first event on Saturday November 2nd at the Royal Canadian Legion on Morningstar Avenue.
The Rescue Me dance will help raise money for renovations. The stag-and-doe style event will include live music, prizes and snacks.
It will run from 7:30 p.m. to midnight and tickets will be $10 at the door.
The Central Fire Station is 99-years-old and it closed back in 2006.
The Central Station Education Initiative would like to utilize the three-story building, by creating a historical display on the first floor and office space on the second floor.
