Board of governors accepts recommendations of task force
The school's president sending out a statement the board has accepted all 22 recommendations from a task force charged with looking into the controversial legacy of Egerton Ryerson.
Ryerson was an architect of Canada’s residential school system which ended up separating over 150,000 Indigenous children from their families.
The university's School of Journalism had already announced it would be dropping the Ryerson name from two of its publications.
