NRP say impact of collision sent caravan into a pond
Tragedy in Niagara-on-the-Lake after a collision claimed the life of an 85-year old man.
Police were called late yesterday afternoon to the Church and Stewart Road area.
They say the man was driving a Dodge Caravan eastbound on Church, and a 78-year old woman was heading north on Stewart in a GMC Acadia.
Police say the Caravan went through the intersection and collided with the other vehicle, which sent the Caravan into a large pond.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Acadia and passenger didn't receive physical injuries.
