UPDATE: Additional charges have been laid as police continue to investigate a series of commercial break and enters across the Region.
Officers arrested a 57-year-old man from Wainfleet and a 52-year-old man from St. Catharines on Thursday.
Both men have been charged with break, enter and commit place other than a dwelling and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Police say the Wainfleet man's charges stem from a break and enter in Fort Erie on April 9th.
The charges against the St. Catharines man are in relation to a break and enter in Thorold on March 10h.
Police say both men were also in possession of a stolen vehicle.
A man from Niagara Falls is facing a list of charges in relation to 12 commercial break and enters across the Region.
The NRP started looking into the break and enters in Fort Erie, Thorold, Welland and Niagara Falls last month.
Officers were looking for two men and a stolen minivan.
They found the van and arrested the 41-year-old yesterday.
He has been charged with the following offences;
- Break, enter and commit place other than a dwelling (five counts)
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Mischief under $5,000
- Attempt break, enter and with intent for a place other than a dwelling
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Fail to comply with probation order.
Officers are still searching for their second suspect.
He’s believed to be white with a medium build.
The NRP is holding a scene at a hotel in the Lundy’s Lane and Montrose Road area of Niagara Falls.
