NRP say this was in a 2-day period last month
A police crackdown on shoplifting in Niagara Falls has led to the arrests of six people, and identifying a staggering amount of stolen merchandise.
Last month police started working with some business owners at a Niagara Falls plaza, and over a two day period, they made the arrests, and laid 19 charges.
They identified $3-million in stolen merchandise, of which $570 was found and returned in saleable condition.
Police say they're working to deter retail theft, educate the public, and hold accountable those responsible for theft and fraud in businesses.
