Nobody inside the home was hurt
Niagara Regional Police are looking for a suspect following a shooting incident on Saturday in Lincoln.
It happened just after 11:30 on Saturday at a home on Central Avenue between John and Jackson Streets.
Police say a lone suspect drove by the home in a white SUV, came back and fired 8 shots at the house from a handgun.
The house and a parked car were struck by the gunfire.
Occupants of the home were asleep at the time of the shooting and were not hurt.
NRP call it an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
The suspect is described as a black male with a skinny build, around 25 years of age with black braided hair.
He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
The suspect vehicle was recovered in Hamilton and had been stolen and driven to Lincoln within an hour of the shooting.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or have security cameras from the area to give them a call at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009935.
