Woman suffers serious injuries after falling from an overpass on the QEW at Niagara Street
Ontario's Special Investigations Unit is investigating after a woman fell from a highway overpass in St. Catharines.
The incident occurred at the QEW overpass at Niagara Street.
Around 3:35 p.m. yesterday, police received a call about a woman in distress.
Emergency crews attended the area, and officers had a brief interaction with the woman before she fell.
The SIU says the woman, who is 54 years old, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
