Niagara is seeing a spike in new COVID-19 cases this week.
Public Health reported 16 new cases today after reporting 15 new cases on Monday.
We currently have 78 active cases in the Region and most of them are in Welland followed by St. Catharines and Niagara Falls.
Two municipalities are currently COVID free; Wainfleet and West Lincoln.
We currently have six active outbreaks in effect and four of them are in healthcare facilities.
Four people are also being treated for the virus in our local Niagara Health hospitals.
