The Lincoln County Humane Society is looking for the owner of a small black kitten that was found abandoned in Grimsby.
A woman found it inside a cat carrier in Murray Street Park yesterday.
The female cat weighs less than a kilogram and the society has named her Midnight.
She will be put up for adoption if the owner is not found in the next couple of days.
The society has also been unable to file a complaint with the Ministry of the Solicitor General's animal cruelty hotline because it does not know the name of the owner.
Anyone with information should contact the LCHS.
