You now have to show some ID if you're visiting a beach in St. Catharines
Starting today all city beaches are now open exclusively for Niagara residents.
Mayor Walter Sendzik says this will help limit the risk of COVID-19 spreading in the community.
The city is also increasing illegal parking fines for beach areas and the Morning Star Mill to $100 after more than 60 parking tickets were issued close to Sunset Beach over the weekend.
