About $145,000 worth of ketamine seized

A St. Catharines man has been arrested after a package containing drugs was seized at the border.

Earlier this month, police were notified by border officials about a package that had been shipped to Canada from Germany.

Officials say the package, which was headed to St. Catharines, contained 4 grams of ketamine.

The drugs have an approximate street value of $145,000.

Yesterday, police searched the home, and arrested 64 year old Xuan Anh Vo.

He's been charged for the following offences:

  • Import Schedule I Substance of More than One Kilogram - Sec. 6(1) CDSA
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Sec. 5(2) CDSA
