The City of St. Catharines is reminding everyone out there to not flush baby wipes, paper towels and feminine hygiene products down the toilet.
The City’s Municipal Works Department is noticing a spike in non-flushable items in the sewer system with more people self-isolating at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
You should only flush toilet paper and human waste down the toilet.
Anything else could lead to blockages because they don’t break down properly.
