City is now a living wage employer
WIth the move, the city of St. Catharines also becomes the region’s largest living wage employer.
Councillor Greg Miller tweeting out the news saying council approved the move after he asked for a report on the proposal in February.
Miller says the decision also makes the city the largest municipality in Ontario to offer a living wage.
In Niagara, the living wage was last calculated to be $18.90 an hour.
