NRP say 3 young people from Hamilton involved in gun, bear spray incidents
Two men and a teenaged boy have been charged after a commotion at Sherkston Shores resort in Port Colborne.
Police were called there just after midnight, into Sunday morning, concerning reports of someone with a gun on the beach, and, in a 2nd case, several people sprayed with what was believed to be bear spray.
NRP was helped by local security in catching the 3 suspects trying to take off in a car, finding bear spray inside.
Police say 18-year old Giancarlo Micieli of Hamilton, as well as a 16-year old boy from Hamilton, are charged with:
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon – “Bear Spray”
They've also charged 21-year old Liam Ryan Donnelly-Lavelle, also of Hamilton, with:
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon – “Bear Spray”
- Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
All three were released from custody with future court dates.
Police add no victims have come forward, and that these 2 incidents are related.
