Workers will vote on the tentative deal in the near future
Looks like we're a step closer to seeing GO buses on the QEW again.
The union representing striking workers says it has reached a tentative deal with Metrolinx, so bus service will return tomorrow.
It says the more than 2,200 workers who walked off the job are expected to vote to ratify the contract in the coming days.
They include station attendants, bus operators, maintenance workers, transit safety officers, and office professionals.
The union told our newsroom the main issue was using outside contractors, adding it had workers to do the work. Metrolinx sent us a statement recently saying progress was being made in negotiations.
