A woman from Quebec is the first Canadian to die from a blood clot after receiving the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.
CANADA - The first Canadian has died from a blood clot related to the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.
The Province of Quebec confirmed the news today saying the women died of a blood clot after receiving the vaccine.
Quebec is currently administering AstraZeneca to people between the ages of 45 and 79.
Public Health Officials maintain the vaccine is safe to use and the benefits far out weigh any risks.
The Province of Quebec has administered 400,000 doses of AstraZeneca and are currently investigating four cases of serious complications.
