A 65-foot replica of children's TV character Theodore Tugboat will soon arrive in Port Dalhousie.
Theodore TOO, an advocate for careers in the marine industry and clean water strategies in Canada, will make a short visit to Port Dalhousie starting tonight.
The tugboat departed its Halifax home in June, and is expected to arrive at the Dalhousie Yacht Club sometime tonight.
The City of St. Catharines notes Theodore will leave around 8:00 p.m. tomorrow, to continue his way to his new home in Hamilton.
Visitors will be allowed to snap photos on the dock tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The dock is adjacent to the Lakeside Park parking lot, and ten visitors will be allowed at a time.
Theodore TOO has teamed up with Swim Drink Fish to promote initiatives such as the Great Lakes Guide, which is an online tool encouraging connections to water in the Great Lakes area.
