Trio charged after cash and valuables stolen from several Niagara businesses.
Three suspects are facing charges in connection to a series of commercial break and enters.
Officers say between January 21st to the 29th, break and enters at businesses in Fort Erie, Welland, Niagara Falls and St. Catharines resulted in damage and stolen cash and valuables.
The estimates related to the break and enters is over $10,000.
Investigators say businesses targeted include several Tim Hortons locations.
Just before 5 AM on Saturday, an NRP officer observed three men acting suspiciously in a black Chevrolet Malibu near a closed Tim Hortons around the McLeod Road and Kalar Road area in Niagara Falls.
The vehicle was stopped, and police say the suspects matched the descriptions from a previous break and enter that occurred earlier in the evening.
Evidence of the previous break and enter was found in the car.
Facing charges are 59 year old John Michael Lenik of Fenwick, 42 year old Kevin Michael Boutilier of Niagara Falls and 52 year old Franco Lascala of St. Catharines.
Lenik and Boutilier have also been charged in relation to a break and enter at a Petro Canada location in Welland, where a stolen pick-up truck was used to rip an ATM from the convenience store area.
