Police say a 2-vehicle collision killed a man, sent child to hospital
A man is dead, and a child in hospital with life threatening injuries, following a 2-vehicle collision in Port Colborne.
Police and emergency crews were called to the scene last night, at around 5, to find a motorcycle and SUV collided on Highway 3.
They learned the motorcycle crashed into the rear of the SUV in the eastbound lanes near Wilhelm Road, which ejected the two people on the bike.
Sadly, police say the 49-year old man from Fort Erie driving the bike was killed, the passenger, a child, was rushed to hospital.
The road was completely closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
Burlington OPP are thanking bystanders who stopped to help, anyone with video footage or information that can help police are encouraged to reach out.
