Police say the driver went through a red light, hit another vehicle
A truck driver has been charged with failing to stop for a red light after a collision in Grimsby.
Police were called to the Christie and Clarke Street area Thursday afternoon for a 2-vehicle crash, finding a transport truck had smashed through a guard rail, and was lodged alongside the Christie Street, QEW overpass.
They found the truck driver went through the intersection, hit a car, and went through the rail.
Police say the 70-year old Burlington man driving the truck was given a provincial offence notice for running the red light.
There were no reported injuries.
