Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he is isolating for five days, after finding out he was exposed to COVID-19.
Trudeau tweeting out this morning that he learned of the exposure last night.
He has taken a rapid test that was negative, and notes while he will be working from home, he is feeling fine.
The timing of his exposure means that he will remain in self-isolation during this weekend's "freedom convoy" of truckers arriving in Ottawa on Saturday.
In recent weeks, several cabinet ministers have isolated due to positive test results or potential exposure.
Last night, I learned that I have been exposed to COVID-19. My rapid test result was negative. I am following @OttawaHealth rules and isolating for five days. I feel fine and will be working from home. Stay safe, everyone – and please get vaccinated.
