It's part of President's focus on illegal immigration
If you plan on staying in the US for longer than 30 days, prepare to be possibly finger printed.
Tom Puckett in a news anchor at WBEN radio in Buffalo, and tells us President Trump signed an executive order about a month ago.
He adds this is for anyone over 14 years old who doesn't have legal status. "I talked with Immigration Lawyer Rosanna Berardi, who said the order mainly targets those that here illegally, but there is a tiny provision related to Canadians who cross land borders, and are usually waived through. However, if they have been accepted in the US, they now have to register."
He says not all the details have been released yet.
"This was intended to prevent illegal immigration as much as possible into the United States, however, that little loophole there will require Canadians, who are snowbirds, or will be in the United States for 30 days or longer, be required to do the same."
He says registration may be done online, or go in a building to register once entering the US.
