NRP have laid charges against two people in connection with shoplifting incidents in St. Catharines.
Yesterday, an officer stopped a vehicle that was driving erratically in a parking lot in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
While speaking to the female driver, a male passenger was found in the back seat, buried underneath department store merchandise.
The officer determined that the pair and their car were connected to shoplifting incidents at two department stores in St. Catharines.
The recovered property, which included food, small appliances and clothing, was valued at about $3450.
The suspects, who are both in their 20s, face several charges, including Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
The female suspect is from Niagara-on-the-Lake and the male suspect is from Thorold.
