Brock is now one of the first universities in Canada, to have a licence for cannabis-related research.
Health Canada recently gave the green light for two research projects at Brock.
One will focus on the health and quality of medical marijuana plants.
The other will take a look at cannabis extractables.
The research will fall under Brock's new Validating, Prototyping and Manufacturing Facility; which is set to open in 2021.
All research beforehand will be conducted in secured labs in the Mackenzie Chown Complex.
