There will be a town-wide power outage today in Fort Erie.
Canadian Niagara Power (CNP) has planned the outage, after a lightning strike this morning caused damage to CNP equipment located on the main line that feeds all Fort Erie customers.
The outage will begin at 2:30 this afternoon.
Crews and contractors have began the process of assembling and gathering equipment in order to make the repair.
