Suspect facing kidnapping and sexual assault charges.
A Niagara Falls man is facing charges after a woman was abducted and sexually assaulted.
Officers say a woman in her 20s was walking in the area of Drummond Road and Highway 420 in Niagara Falls around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night, when she was forced into a man's pickup truck.
She was taken to an unknown location, where she was physically and sexually assaulted.
The victim sustained facial injuries.
Earlier today, police arrested 23 year old Richard McFarlen Morrow.
He faces several charges, including sexual assault, kidnapping, forcible confinement and assault causing bodily harm.
A video bail hearing will take place later today.
Niagara Regional Police says while the investigation continues, there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
Officers wish to speak with a male motorist who provided assistance to the victim after the assault.
