The Township says a home valued at over $300,000 will pay another $134
As budget season rolls along, Township of Wainfleet the latest to release what taxpayers will be paying next year.
Council approved its operating and capital budget last night, asking taxpayers to fork out another 4.98%.
That translates to a $134 increase in the Wainfleet portion of a property bill, for a home valued at over $300,000.
Mayor Brian Grant says this is arguably one of the most challenging budget cycles they've ever dealt with, and the same can be said for other municipalities, all fighting significant inflationary pressures, rising material and service costs, and increasing provincial demands.
