The City of Niagara Falls is warning homeowners about an ongoing water scam.
These fraudsters are calling people and going door-to-door selling water filtration equipment.
They might also offer to inspect your water lines, indicating that they're working in conjunction with the city or the province.
The city is not affiliated with these people and it does not support or sell water filtration equipment.
A water meter replacement program is underway in Niagara Falls.
The city has hired Neptune Technology Group to contact residents for their free water meter replacement.
