The City of Welland has decided to cancel all of its recreation and culture programming for the summer, due to COVID-19.
This includes the Children’s Summer Day Camp, which was supposed to take place in July and August.
Those who already signed up for the summer programs can send an e-mail to registration@welland.ca to arrange reimbursement.
The city has cancelled all public events, closed all public facilities and cancelled all programs leading up to June 30th.
Richard Dalton, the Manager of Recreation and Culture, says the city is going to hold off reopening the Wellness Complex until it's safe to do so under the province’s three-phase strategy.
