Linda Moore asked her husband to 'double check' a potential losing ticket
A great news story for a Welland couple, married 55-years.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says Glenn and Linda Moore have a huge win after playing the Bigger Spin Instant game.
They've been playing the lottery for years, until one day Linda asked Glenn to take a certain ticket to the store, just to double check it.
At the store, Glenn was told they'd be going to Toronto to spin the big wheel, but, Linda didn't believe him when he got home.
It was off to Toronto, where they spun the big wheel... it landed on $800,000... she started crying thankful tears.
Glenn says they'll put the money in the bank, step back, breathe a bit, then decide what to do with it.
The winning ticket was bought at Kay's Korner Variety on Thorold Road in Welland.
