Police say they noticed child sexual abuse material shared on a social media page early this month
Child porn charges have been laid against a 43-year old Welland man.
Police say earlier this month they started investigating after 2 instances of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material were shared over a social media platform on June 1st.
The Internet Child Exploitation or ICE unit identified Michael Eldridge, who was arrested yesterday, charged with possessing, accessing and making child porn available.
He had a bail hearing yesterday.
Police add the internet allows these individuals to engage with minors, creating, sharing and storing this material.
