Niagara Region Public Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak, at a Welland retirement home.
Seasons Retirement Community has a second case of COVID-19 confirmed in another resident within the facility.
The first case is an 80-year-old resident who developed respiratory symptoms on March 18th, they are currently in the hospital in stable condition.
The second resident developed symptoms on March 23rd and was also taken to the hospital where they tested positive for the virus.
Seasons Retirement Community working with Niagara Region Public Health and Emergency Services to control the outbreak.
