NRP arrested the Niagara Falls woman, known as Candy, yesterday, laying 5 related charges
Another dent put into human trafficking by Niagara Regional police.
They've arrested a 56-year old woman from Niagara Falls on a variety of charges.
Back in March, police began looking into the trafficking of a person over 18-years old, and learned of a female suspect known as Candy.
Yesterday, they arrested Hung Mei Wong, and charged her with:
- Trafficking in persons by recruiting
- Procuring
- Material benefit from sexual services
- Financial/material benefit from trafficking person over 18 years
- Advertising another person’s sexual services
Police believe there may be other victims.

She remains in police custody pending a bail hearing today in St. Catharines.
